I love the weight of this mat especially while carrying it to class. Worked great today when used for the first time. I already noticed the mat “Knicking” little rubber chunks out though on my first use so I am curious as to see how long it will last. I will have to use it more to find out. If you are looking for easy to travel with then that is certainly a plus. I also opted for the extra 6” which worked out very well for me since I am rather tall. I hope it turns out to be my favorite mat…as long as it doesn’t fall apart.

After experimenting with several yoga mats to suit my specific needs, I finally found all my requirements met with this Jade fusion mat. The right amount of thickness cushions my knees well for the runner’s stretch pose, and it’s also firm enough to hold the standing poses (unlike the foam-like mats that are thick but soft which make me wobbly, making it difficult for me to maintain my balance). I also like it’s length at 74″ that keeps my whole body in the mat as I have long legs. I did get that “rubbery” smell when I first received it but it went away immediately after airing it out. Pricey but worth it for me. At least another tree was planted after purchasing this, which I believe is a great bonus.
